Most of the files available for download from this site are zipfiles. You will need a zip utility to open them. If you do not have WinZip installed on your computer, you can download it here.
Themes management program similar to Plus!. Set screensavers, change icons and more. If you don't have Plus!, you will need a themes manager to use desktop themes. This one is really good - and free.

Wallpaper Skins for your Internet Explorer5 and Outlook toolbars. You will need to download and install this little self-installing zip from Microsoft. To install, just open the file after you download it. It does the rest. To use your new toolbar wallpaper, open IE5, there will be a new addition to your toolbar. Look to the right of the 'mail' icon, see the icon? Click on it. In the next little window, check the box that says 'show desktop wallpaper in list'. Now choose the bmp that you want to use. Click 'OK'. Close IE and reopen. Your wall paper will now replace that ugly grey! If you don't see the icon, at the top click on Tools, a drop down menu will appear. Then click Toolbar Wallpaper. Now choose the bmp that you want to use. Click 'OK'. Close IE and reopen.

ZDNet's Where installs an entry in your Windows SendTo folder's context menu. Use it to either copy or move selected files to any folder already on your system or to a new folder created within ZDNet's Where. Various options include automatically overwriting existing files or choosing a destination folder for the selected files. ZDNet's Where makes file maintenance tasks quick and easy.
A free zip utility that's easy to use. It features an Explorer type interface. This program allows you to unzip all or portions of archives, to choose the filepath, and to easily create your own zipfiles.

Power Defrag optimises the Windows 95/98 defragmenter application, resulting in better defrag performance and eliminating most types of Windows defragmenter related crashes. Faster and more efficient than the Disk Defragmenter that comes with your PC. You'll probably never use your old version again. While it can be registered to upgrade to the Pro version, this freeware version is really all you need.

FTP Commander is simple and easy to use. It's really the bare minimum with no extra frills or thrills. It offers a no-nonsense interface consisting of two side-by-side local computer and FTP server panels. The latter contains a list of about a dozen pre-set FTP servers. It's easy to establish a connection. All you have to do is select the server you want on the list and push the Connect button. Pre-configuring a list of most frequently accessed servers will make your life even easier.
Shell extension shows small thumbnails of images in shell icons. Extension works anywhere where you may find icons, including "Recycle Bin" and "File Open/Save" dialogs. It also adds "Preview" tab into file properties for image files.
Colour i5 is used to get the value of colours under the mouse cursor and also converts to HTML, numeric, RGB & VB colour code. Also allows you to input values in HTML, VB, numeric or RGB and will return the corresponding colour. Stores a list of 20 favourite colours.
HTML Tidy fixes HTML-tagging mistakes automatically and tidies up sloppy editing into nicely layed-out markup. It also works great on the atrociously hard-to-read markup generated by specialized HTML editors and conversion tools, and can help you identify where you need to pay further attention tomaking your pages more accessible to people with disabilities. HTML Tidy is able to fix up a wide range of problems and brings to your attention things that you need to work on. Each item found is listed with the line number and column, so that you can see where the problem lies. HTML Tidy won't generate a cleaned-up version when there are problems that it can't be sure of how to handle. These are logged as "errors" rather than "warnings".
VCatch is a free antivirus tool, developed to protect your computer from web viruses whether you use an Email application, web based E-mail, ICQ, or one of the new file-sharing programs (Napster, Gnutella etc.). When VCatch is active it will check all files sent or downloaded to your computer via Email and Web applications. In the event that VCatch detects a suspected virus, the software automatically deletes the file and notifies you. VCatch supports the following Email programs: Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora and Netscape Messenger. In Addition, VCatch protects the computer from viruses downloaded using Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator web browsers, files sent to the computer by ICQ, and files downloaded using popular file-sharing software such as Napster, iMesh and Gnutella. VCatch has a unique automatic update mechanism. When a new virus is detected on the Net, VCatch automatically updates its virus definitions list on your computer. So once you install VCatch, you don't have to do anything else to be constantly protected.
EasyCleaner is a small program which searches Windows' registry for entries that are pointing nowhere. Deleting these entries will speed up your computer. As you may already know, deleting entries from the registry can be dangerous for your computer, so it is wise to make a backup of your registry. EasyCleaner also lets you delete all kinds of unnecessary files like temps, backups etc. You can search for duplicate files and you can view some intresting info about your disk space usage! Deleting invalid shortcuts from start-menu is possible as well.
The well known power toy from Microsoft. This is the newest version that works on Windows Millenium, as well as Win 9x, NT, and Win2000. With the Tweak UI 1.33 update, you can adjust your Windows User Interface, including menu speed, window animation, and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Certain features are only available and visible on one or the other platform. You want this!
If you're none too fond of the flood of ad-enabled software finding its way from the Internet onto your computer, take a look at AD-Aware. This free utility scans your PC's memory, hard drives, and Registry for references to adware servers at Web3000, Gator, Cydoor, Adware, Alexa, Aureate, Flyswat, and Conducent/TimeSink -- some of the most prominent names in the business -- as well as the non-adware servers at Comet Systems. The lightning-fast scan reports Registry entries, files, and folders used by these services, then removes them in the blink of an eye. If any are currently loaded into memory, you'll be prompted to restart your computer to complete the process.
Start Menu Cleaner removes unnecessary clutter from the Start Menu. When you delete a program, its folder and links can remain in the Start Menu, and not all un-install programs remove them. After a while this can create clutter on your Start Menu, making it difficult to use.
FreshIcons is a tiny repair utility. If you mess with Windows Explorer you may have noticed that sometimes Explorer starts to display wrong icons for some file types. FreshIcons instructs Windows to refresh icons displayed on the Desktop and in Windows Explorer etc. Rather than staying in memory, it sends icon update request to Windows and terminates. Run it only when you need it.
Pop-up Stopper is a small and handy utility that stops Internet Explorer pop-up windows from accruing. No need to adjust proxy settings, or add sites to a list just allow pop-up windows only when you want them. User settings allow various pop-up notifications, such as a flashing icon or sound. A unique control feature makes it simple to allow only the pop-ups you want, such as opening hyperlinks or new browser windows. Simply hold down Control (CTRL) or Shift key to allow selective pop-up windows. This program is not advertising supported, nor does it require registration, and no information is collected from or about product users.
Clickie is a handy utility that will add 2 new features to the context menu (right click) of Windows Explorer: * Copy Path Name: Copies the path of the selected folder or file to the clipboard (as text). You can then paste it wherever you need it. Some softwares need the name and path of a file and do not provide any way to browse. In such a case, Clickie becomes very useful and will save you a lot of time. * Open MS-DOS Prompt: Opens a DOS window in the selected directory. Using Clickie, you don't need to crawl to the directory you want to work in.
Smart Uninstaller is a program that analyzes all link information of the applications you have previously installed on your system, checks whether or not they point to existing files (even if they are stored on removable media) and then uninstalls those applications you don't need. In addition, Smart Uninstaller allows you to: - redirect the uninstall command to another existing executable file; - remove broken link information from the registry; - import/export registry keys through a text file and explore the Programs folder (Start/Programs menu).

Send voice & picture messages over the internet. TalkSender works with virtually every e-mail client. Your voice messages are delivered crystal clear, for free to the recipient, and they need nothing extra to hear your message! RjhExtensions adds several useful file-handling functions to Microsoft Explorer's right-click menu. This neat little program is freeware and quite handy for intermediate or advanced users. Use it to rename all files in a folder by changing the filenames or extensions. Preview your changes before processing. Drop to the DOS prompt within a folder on the fly. Send a list of files with information on each file in a folder to the printer or a text file. Use the right-click menu to duplicate a file, copy its path to the Clipboard, encrypt/decrypt it with a password, or even shred it. Use the RJH Organizer to customize the order of the menu with drag-and-drop ease, add an extension to the main context menu, make it a submenu extension, or omit it from the menu completely.
MS Windows Error Messages is a free utility that enables you to look up Microsoft Windows error code numbers and display a descriptive message explaining what the numeric code actually means. If you have software programs that produce numeric error codes, now you can find out what they really mean. MS Windows Error Messages also provides a facility to display all of the error codes and messages defined for your version of Windows.
